Cheddar & Chive Garlic Bread

Thick slices of white bloomer spread with garlic butter, piled with grated mature cheddar and chopped chives, then grilled until the cheese bubbles and goes crisp at the corners. It's the comforting, cheese-on-toast end of garlic bread, tangy and savoury with a soft middle. The chives add a gentle, fresh oniony note that cuts through the sharp, melted cheddar nicely.

Served hot on a plate, cut into halves, with a few extra chives on top. It's a cosy side for a soup or a burger, or a starter on its own. Compared to our other garlic breads, this one is made on soft British bloomer bread with a classic cheddar topping, so it tastes familiar and homely.
