Parmesan & Rosemary Garlic Bread

Sliced ciabatta spread thickly with garlic butter, then covered in finely grated Parmesan and chopped fresh rosemary before going into a hot oven. The cheese turns lacy, golden and crisp on top while the butter soaks into the open, airy crumb underneath. The rosemary perfumes everything with a piney aroma, and the Parmesan brings a nutty, salty depth that's hard to stop eating.

Brought to the table on a wooden board, cut into fingers for sharing, with a little extra rosemary and black pepper on top. It's a great companion to pasta or soup. Of our garlic breads, this is the classic Italian-style one, built on ciabatta with an aged cheese crust rather than a melted, stretchy topping.
